With a deep love for historical narratives, Woodhouse specializes in crafting biographies that bring the past to life. His work focuses on influential figures such as Joe Burk, a rowing champion, and Williams Purviance Tams Jr., a coal mine operator in West Virginia.
He grew up in Jacksonville, Alabama and currently makes his home in Southwest Virginia. He holds a BA from Harvard where he was a national rowing champion with the “Rude and Smooth.” Woodhouse received his law degree from his father’s alma mater, the University of Virginia. After forty years as an attorney in the chemical industry, he now spends his time rowing and writing about people he deeply admires.
